Our Food and Wine Tour is more than a fundraiser—it is a celebration of the richness of our Orthodox heritage and a reminder that, though diverse in culture and tradition, we are all one family in Christ. Upon entering the event, guests are welcomed by various food stations set at the corners of the room, each hosted by local parishes and offering dishes inspired by countries and regions where IOCC is actively working or has served in the past. These tables not only highlight flavors from around the world but also feature small cultural displays and program information, helping us connect the tastes we enjoy to the lives being touched through IOCC’s mission.
In between the food stations, guests will find wine pairings from regions such as Serbia, Georgia, Romania, Lebanon, Greece, and of course, our own California vineyards. Later in the evening, desserts may be complemented by the warm tradition of Ethiopian coffee, shared in honor of one of the regions IOCC has supported.
This unique setup invites us to experience and appreciate the distinct beauty of each culture, while also noticing what we share in common—hospitality, fellowship, and the joy of breaking bread together. Whether sampling foods, sipping wine, or sitting at a table with friends and family, the evening is a living expression of unity in diversity, made stronger through our shared faith and commitment to serving others.
